It's official: This year's installment of "Amanda and Jason tour the world" will take us to Japan and South Korea!
For a minute there I was worried that we wouldn't be able to take a big summer trip, what with the new job and all. But then I remembered that I negotiate things for a living and decided that this was a necessary prerequisite for my eternal welfare and happiness and, by extension, my ability to perform as a top-notch employee. Besides, we've technically been planning it since January, way before I ever thought I'd be changing jobs and moving across the country, and it just wouldn't have been fair to make me cancel. (And boy does moving across the country have its perks! Airfare from Seattle to Seoul is WAY cheaper than DC to Seoul!)
We'll be spending the last week of June and the first week of July traveling through South Korea and Japan. We'll start in Seoul, focusing on that city and possibly a day trip to the DMZ or other points of interest. Then we'll fly to Japan, where we'll visit Tokyo (and by "visit" I mean "eat our way through the Michelin Guide for Tokyo") and Kyoto, climb Mt Fuji, and see whatever else there is to see in Japan.
I couldn't be more excited!

We need to rework the theme song from 'Where in the World is Carmen San Diego' for you. And a new job? Same firm? Different firm? Same type of stuff. Seattle, eh? Got your grungy plaid ready?
